Textiles inspired by a mountain, a wiggly mirror and a painterly rug, These are the products that caught my eye this week
Tara and Salina are the first collections from British textile brand Fermoie to include both wallpaper and fabric from launch. The new Salina collection (shown above) includes seaside stripes, elements from folk costumes and geometric deco shapes. Tara is based on mount Taranaki in New Zealand, whose near-perfect conical outline and snow-capped peak are captured in rhythmic rows of geometric shapes, subtly softened by individually hand-drawn outlines

Rug studio Peter Paige has introduced Between Lines, a collection of eight silk flatweave designs woven using hand-spun silk on cotton warp. Each piece celebrates the interplay between silk yarn and cotton thread, with the latter intentionally revealed to create a subtle linear structure across the surface. The Organic designs draw on natural forms and textures, with references ranging from cracked earth and tree bark to cloud formations, water ripples and reflections

Pooky has refreshed its decorative collection of mirrors with nine new designs ranging from the subtle charm of antiqued brass and aged wood, to tactile natural bone and lily grass (Wiggle mirror in lily grass shown above)

Roger Oates Design has collaborated with artist Simone Brewster to create a hand tufted rug that reimagines Brewster’s work as part of her solo show, Platform, at the Design Museum. Titled Recompose, the rug (on display until January 2027) transforms Brewster’s original paper collage into a textile work using complex colour blending techniques to capture the nuance of brush strokes

Echo is the latest collection from British lighting studio Curiousa. The distinctive design celebrates the interplay of contrasting materials and colours. Formed of two glass elements, balanced on a hand-turned walnut disk, the composition feels both complementary and dynamic, creating a sense of quiet conversation through their interplay
