Rabih Hage Bursary 2026

The second edition of the Rabih Hage Bursary has been announced with a focus on designer-makers

Established in November 2024, the second edition of the Rabih Hage Bursary has just been announced. Submissions are invited from creators of ‘beautiful, meaningful and poetic objects’, with the Bursary dedicated to supporting craft, creativity, ingenuity and a strong aesthetic while also promoting social impact

The organisers say that category or discipline should not be a limitation. For example, last year’s shortlist included: textile designers, a bladesmith, a ceramicist/glass artist, weavers, a basket maker and a furniture/product designer among others. Elaheh Ganji the inaugural recipient of the bursary, is a jewellery designer and artist who ultimately produced a collection of artworks presented as an installation (image above)

The Rabih Hage Bursary includes:

  • Financial support of £5000 per recipient
  • Brainstorming / workshop sessions with the Rabih Hage Studio
  • Networking and mentorship opportunities with specialists by discipline: experts, galleries, fabricators, curators and collectors
  • Marketing and promotion of final body of work, through a group show, personal exhibition, or collaboration with an institution
  • Promotion on social media channels and the various platforms of relevant partners

Applications are open until the 16th March with a shortlist announced in April and the winner announced in June. For further details click here
