This week’s product launches

Tiles that look like textiles, a rug that looks like bark and a lampshade derived from bananas. These are the products that caught my eye this week

from Fritz Hansen, the After Series, designed by Michael Anastassiades, includes a chair and table in ash defined by geometric clarity, subtle gestures and immaculate execution. The pieces are named After, as a reference to the design approach, which Anastassiades calls collective contribution, drawing on and referencing classic archetypes, an ethos espoused by Danish masters Kaare Klint and Poul Kjærholm. After is available in natural ash and Burgundy Lazur, a deep wine colour chosen by Anastassiades to reference darker wood tones or the patina of aged brass, which he uses in his lighting

For several years, design studio Angel O’Donnell has been commissioning hand-knotted rugs from British rug maker Riviere. Now, the two companies have come together to launch their first collaborative collection. The result? A series of rugs that celebrate the creative process including Arboreal (above) that combines tree bark textures with earth tones

Born from a shared vision to make it effortless for designers and architects to create beautiful, cohesive bathrooms, Buster+Punch and Grohe Spa introduce a comprehensive collection of premium, solid metal hardware and lighting to the world of water. The curated collection includes a full suite of plumbing fixtures, cabinet hardware, lighting, wall switches, dimmers and outlets. Massimo Buster Minale, founder of Buster+Punch says “To elevate your look in spas, wet rooms and bathrooms, it’s essential to combine detailing, brassware and lighting in one seamless finish. This is the key reason this collaboration is so powerful – it’s a creative toolkit that levels up these spaces effortlessly.”

Lapicida introduces Sodai, a luxury Italian surface collection. The collection redefines porcelain with intricately textured reliefs, real wood finishes and high definition printed designs. Designs include Silk Road (above) which features an intricate scene inspired by the art and architecture of East Asia. Available in 21 colourways, the porcelain, large format tiles can be used to create an elegant mural

English lighting company Fosbery has launched new, hand crafted designs into its collection including the Makai wall light crafted in England from FSC-sourced wood. The light is available in four finishes (shown here in natural ash) with a shade made from Sinemay a fully natural and sustainable material derived from banana plants
