Gorgeous rugs a distinctive coffee table and paintable sockets, these are the products that caught my eye this week
Lady Deirdre Dyson launched her 25th anniversary collection, Light Play, at London Design Week. Light Play (above) explores colour in its purest form, the new palette centres around softer shades from the purple spectrum – lilacs, lavenders, heathers and mauves – which sit harmoniously in overlaid pastel colourways or combine with juxtaposing hues to dramatic effect. Across geometric and organic shapes, the luxurious wool and silk carpets are works of art in themselves,

And here’s another new rug collection, this time from Romo. Hand tufted in natural wool with hand carved details, the collection includes bold geometrics (Clarice above) as well as florals and organic forms in a warm palette of verde, cinnamon and rose

Dominic Schuster unveiled several new furniture pieces during London Design Week, including the Conical Coffee Table (above). Crafted by hand at his Hampshire studio, the table, which is available with a solid wood or mirror top, is finished in Little Greene’s Theatre Red sustainable vegetable oil based paint. Pooky has introduced Perspex and paintable sockets and light switches. The Perspex switch plates and sockets allow you to see wallpaper designs through them. The paintable switches and sockets are in brass, with a primed surface which can be painted to camouflage into the wall.
