This week’s interior design news

I have a truly eclectic mix of product launches for you in this week’s interior design news. Including enchanting wallpaper, mesmerising 3D rugs and a chandelier inspired by motorbike exhausts!

I spotted this rug (above) hanging in the Topfloor by Esti showroom at design Centre Chelsea Harbour when I was there this week for LDW. It is part of the new Matrix collection. A collaboration between Esti and artist Gianluca Franzese. The limited edition, hand knotted and hand tufted rugs are based on some of Gianluca’s mesmerising artwork that creates an illusion of 3D structures on a flat surface.

Exhaust chandelier new from Buster & Punch

Buster & Punch will be launching a new collection of chandeliers this summer. With a chunky, industrial styling, typical of the brand, the chandeliers are based around its existing Heavy Metal and Exhaust pendant lights. The Exhaust cascade chandelier (shown) was inspired by motorbike exhaust pipes. The chandeliers are fully customisable in scale and drop height. (for more lighting launches click here)

Then look no further than the Kartell by Laufen collection which has been extended with the addition of ochre, mustard yellow and blue-gray on the cabinets and drawer units. Colourful transparent accessories are also available and the collection is completed with sanitaryware and taps.

The fixtures, manufactured in the Cotswolds, have a subtle, matt black finish on a cast resin composite. Bespoke shades, in a myriad of colours, are available to complete the look.

Enchanting wallpaper panel, Owl & Willow, from Morris & Co

We are all in need of a fantastical escape right now and Morris & Co has come up trumps with its Owl & Willow wallpaper panel. Launched to celebrate the company’s 160th anniversary, the design is made up of three 300mm high drops printed as one continuous roll. Printed digitally onto a non-woven base, the design features an enchanting scene of stylised trees, birds and flowers.
