This week’s product launches

Earthy lamps, marble basins and rugs handwoven from golden fibre – these are the products that caught my eye this week

A Rum Fellow has launched a new jute rug collection in the studio’s first dedicated exploration of the material. The result is a handwoven family of six rugs (all made to order) inspired by the jute plant’s organic form and the graceful movement of its natural surroundings. Designed in London and handwoven in India, each piece plays with texture and tonal shifts – from crisp flatweaves to soft hand-knotted piles. Jute is a fast-growing, carbon-negative material often called the ‘golden fibre’ for its subtle lustre and responsiveness to light

Waterworks has unveiled marble washstands that combine carefully selected Italian stone with solid brass, blackened steel or cast bronze detailing. Each piece features a generous 5cm marble top carved from a single block combined with a tall backsplash. There are a number of design options to choose from for both single and double basin units.

The Chelsea collection from Hyde House was designed to showcase the best of British craftsmanship with a maximalist aesthetic, blending sinuous shapes with tactile materials. To see for yourself, Hyde House have a new show area in the private residences at The OWO and have also created a collaborative collection with Holmes Bespoke rugs which you can see during London Design Week

Heathfield & Co’s new Ripple, trio of table lamps, draws inspiration from the organic beauty of the forest floor, with its soft forms, earthy textures and natural rhythm. Designed to serve as both functional lighting and striking decorative objects, each piece embraces wavy lines and sculptural silhouettes, with folds and pleats reminiscent of mushroom gills (image shows Aika table lamp)

Plank Hardware, the UK-born interiors brand known for its design-led decorative hardware, has announced its debut lighting collaboration with Good Bones, the interiors brand founded by designer Leanne Kilroy. Rooted in a shared appreciation for the final touches that elevate a space, the vintage-inspired lighting collection brings together refined metalwork, thoughtful perforations and considered proportions – offering ‘jewellery for your walls’ at an accessible price point
