This week’s product launches

Sustainable rugs, an oak sideboard and a boiling water tap. These are the products that caught my eye this week

FLOOR_STORY has launched a series of sustainable rugs called Wasted. The hand knotted rugs are made from off-cuts and waste generated in the rug making process and will only be shipped with orders already leaving Nepal and each are Goodweave certified

Wasted coincides with a deeper look into the sustainable credentials of the company across the UK and Nepalese operation, to ensure that sustainability practices are being maximised throughout. The image shows a Wasted rug at Angela’s in Margate where everything in the rooms is chosen for its sustainable integrity.

Siena sideboard from Ercol

Original Ercol pieces are much in demand by lovers of mid century furniture, so it is nice to see that the new Siena oak sideboard nods to the company’s history.

The sideboard is in solid oak and oak veneer with a hole to hide lamp cables and push-close doors.

Chelseagem fabrics from George Spencer Designs

George Spencer Designs has added Chelseagem to its collection. Chelseagem is a London based design house specialising in characterful and colourful handprinted linen fabrics. Hand drawn and printed at a local mill, the fabrics are sustainably sourced.

Heritage boiling water tap in gun metal from Wodar

Boiling water taps are often modern in design, but if you are looking for a more traditinal model then the new Heritage Collection from Wodar might be for you.

Available in six finishes: gun metal, black, chrome, copper, brushed brass and gold, this three in one tap provides hot and cold water plus filtered boiling water.
