Collect fair, back at Somerset House

Collect, the international fair for contemporary craft and design returns to Somerset House this month

Building on its 2021 digital only event, Collect 2022 will this year be a hybrid fair, held from 23 to 27 February at Somerset House and online at Artsy.net.

Selected by a panel of experts, the exhibiting galleries represent some of the most exciting international craft artists working today, from the emerging to the established. The fair provides the setting for collectors to purchase pieces made in the last five years and allows internationally renowned institutions to add to their collections – the V&A Museum has regularly sourced from Collect over the past 18 years. Because of this recognition, many artists and galleries create and commission work especially for the fair.

Colourful pieces from Ruthin Craft Centre and London Glassblowing

Isobel Dennis, Collect fair director says, “We are delighted to be returning to a physical fair at Somerset House. It is an exceptional environment for Collect exhibitors to contextualise and curate contemporary craft.

“With online art, craft and design sales booming during 2020 and 2021 the appetite for
contemporary craft is at an all-time high. Collaborating with Artsy ensures that Collect
engages with international collectors who may not be able to come and visit us in London in
February.”
