Is it too soon to start talking about Decorex? I don’t think so. Here’s the latest news ahead of this autumn’s show
Decorex 2024 returns to London’s Olympia on the 6 to 9 October, where over 280 brands will showcase their furniture, fabric, lighting, decorative craft, kitchen products, tiles, contemporary art and more.
For each show, Decorex collaborates with a designer to create a bespoke print to feature across the show’s branding. This year, Ellen Merchant’s print is inspired by the ancient Greek ‘anthemion’ motif. Featuring a fan-shaped flower with radiating petals, the design is a subtle nod to the venue’s namesake, Olympia.
There will be plenty of opportunities to discover Ellen’s work at Decorex 2024, where she plans to launch her new collection. Alongside Ellen’s print designs, in partnership with Fromental, the Making Spaces feature will once again showcase a host of artisans demonstrating the intricate process of their crafts, from woodworking and metalwork to textiles and printmaking.
Good to know that this year’s show will be powered by 100% renewable electricity. And we will also see the launch of the Decorex Sustainability Awards, with four categories judged at the event including ‘Innovative Design’ and ‘Driving Social Change’. And of course there will be a diverse talks program covering everything from sustainability to AI in interior design.
