Design in Everything is a new design event for the North East

From the 5 to 9 October the first Design in Everything event, promoted as the new North East design week, took place across five locations including Durham, Sunderland and Newcastle

The event, organised by Edge Innovation and funded by the North East Mayoral Strategic Authority. showcased a wide variety of talent as well as presenting a talks programme, social events and hands on workshops

Design in Everything aimed to recognise, celebrate and invest in the power of design across the North East, with a vision to create opportunities for designers, commissioners and the wider region and help the North East realise the full potential of design. “Design is not an optional extra, but a vital force shaping better places, stronger businesses, richer culture and more inclusive communities”

Next year the event will move to June
