Introducing Rehome Plus

Rehome Plus is the smart way for interior designers to deliver more sustainable projects

I have talked about Rehome on The Insider before (the ethical alternative to rip and skip) but now Rehome Plus is making it easier than ever for interior designers to deliver smarter, more sustainable and more cost-effective home upgrades

Rehome Plus is the UK’s first referral gateway for pre-owned kitchens, bathrooms and fitted interiors. By offering clients a way to sell and responsibly remove their existing kitchen or other fitted furniture before a renovation, designers can now help unlock thousands of pounds in additional budget while significantly reducing waste. The service is fully managed by Rehome Plus, meaning no logistical burden is placed on the designer or client; everything from the survey and photography, to resale, dismantle, and aftercare is handled on their behalf

The average resale of a kitchen via Rehome Plus returns around £4,000 to the client, releasing additional funds that can go directly towards the new design scheme. This trade-in model also addresses one of the most common stumbling blocks in luxury refurbishments, the moral hurdle of discarding a perfectly good kitchen, bedroom or bathroom, especially when clients are environmentally conscious or uncertain about value.

Speaking about the service Vanessa Brady founder of the SBID said, “Rehome Plus is a timely and much-needed solution for the interiors industry. Designers are increasingly expected to deliver not just beautiful spaces, but responsible ones and having a straightforward, fully managed way to reuse or resell fitted furniture brings circular thinking into everyday practice. It gives clients added value, supports sustainability goals and takes the logistical burden away from designers. It’s a smart, professional service that aligns perfectly with how the design world is evolving.”

Rehome Plus is free to join and designers can also earn a referral commission on every successful resale or opt to donate to a charity of their choice. The scheme is supported by a digital referral tool and marketing materials, it requires no financial investment or showroom presence to participate

With sustainability now central to many client briefs, Rehome Plus also offers fully verified carbon and tree-savings certification, allowing designers to demonstrate measurable environmental impact as part of their proposals. For interiors that don’t meet resale standards, Rehome provides ethical recycling and disposal in partnership with Biffa

“Rehome Plus isn’t just about sustainability, it’s a tool that helps design professionals add value and impact to every project,” says Helen Lord, co-founder of Rehome. “We’re proud to offer a solution that makes it easy to do the right thing, while also supporting design ambition and financial flexibility.”
