LDF comes to Soho

For the first time, Soho will be included as a London Design Festival district

This year, as part of London Design Festival, Soho will become a focal point for a range of events, installations, talks and collaborations that reflect the district’s unique identity and evolving role within London’s built environment

From 12 to 20 September, London Design Festival brings together some of the built environment’s most influential voices. Featuring participation from leading architects, F&D specialists, PR and branding agencies, property investors and developers alongside a wider network of creatives, makers and innovators shaping the future of the city

When planning the visual identity for the Soho District, Nicky Young, creative director of informare explains “The Soho District identity takes its visual cues from elements of the red-light district, glowing neon signage and rebellious counterculture. It reflects the rich cultural history, capturing some of the boldness of the music and creative industries that have defined Soho over the past century.”

Through a curated series of experiences, the district will showcase the intersection of design, culture, commerce and community, highlighting Soho’s longstanding reputation as a place where creativity and collaboration thrive. The introduction of Soho to the London Design Festival reinforces the district’s significance as both a historic cultural hub and a forward-looking centre for innovation and design excellence.
