Bamboo, Ibiza and Delft. Just three of the inspirations behind this spring’s tile launches
Harmony – Inspired by traditional North African ceramics, Casablanca by Harmony (shown above) has a hand-crafted appearance and features uneven edges. Available in a 12.5 x 12.5cm format, Casablanca’s plain white field tile and 10 different decors can be combined in a multitude of ways. Shown here, Rialto. Suitable for wall and floor.
Artisans of Devizes – The Bamboo Collection, from Artisans of Devizes, is a stick-like mosaic reminiscent of natural bamboo. The company suggests that this collection works in bathrooms with its soft, neutral colour palette or in the kitchen as a soothing splash back. The porcelain tiles are available in colourways blush, grey, Verdigris or white.
Bert & May – Bert & May has launched the Bolonia collection, as part of a collaboration with Fired Earth. Based on an original design from the Bert & May archive of reclaimed tiles – which has been reimagined by creatives from both teams. The intricate and pretty design has been recreated in contemporary colourways using natural pigments resulting in soft tones and slight variations in shade.
CTD Tiles – Revelling in rich blocks of colour, the new 300 x 75mm Poitiers gloss tile from CTD is available in indigo, bordeaux and green. The tiles feature a gently rippled surface creating interest and giving a retro look. A smaller format tile in white is also available.
Otto – Authentic Moroccan zellige tiles (10cm x 10cm) are available from Otto. The tiles come in a wide range of colours including crimson, dark blue, black and blueish gray. By their nature, each tile is unique and often tonally different, resulting in a characterful patchwork effect most evident with the blue jean zellige
Fameed Khalique – Fameed Khalique has spent years compiling a collection of unusual finishes which can be viewed at his Chelsea showroom. Shown here, Rainbow Marble tiles are inlaid with metal to create an eye catching floor. As well as products, the Fameed Khalique team offer a design service to match or source materials for your project.
Lapicida – Bringing a touch of Mediterranean charm to interiors, Lapicida has launched three new ceramic tile collections – Ibiza, Mallorca and Balearics. Handmade using a centuries-old technique, the collections pay homage to Mediterranean ceramic designs capturing the natural texture and imperfections of glazed terracotta, including both patterns and plain.
Gayafores – Featuring a satin matt finish and veining with golden nuances on a white background, Calacatta Gold is a luxurious marble-effect porcelain from Spanish supplier Gayafores. Five formats are available including 60 x 120cm, 45 x 90cm and 30 x 62.6cm as well as a rectified and a mosaic version.
