Join me at Decorex, we’ve got some lively discussions planned
If you’re heading to Decorex next month I hope you will take time-out from exploring all the exciting product launches to sit in on one of the informative talks taking place during the show. I’m chairing four talks this year, each covering a topic relevant to professional interior designers.
Beyond interiors, designers revolutionising homeware and furniture design – Sunday October 6th at 1.00pm. Louise Bradley, Laura Hammett and Amechi Mandi join me to discuss the inspiration, development and marketing of their own furniture and furnishings products. We will explore what advantages interior designers bring to product creation.
Life outside London – Monday 7th October 12.00pm I will be asking Dublin based Suzie McAdam and Edinburgh’s Jessica Buckley if it’s possible to build a successful interior design business outside the capital or is this industry too London-centric? Rug designer Jennifer Manners will bring insight from the supplier’s perspective.
Designers get personal – Monday 7th October 3.00pm. Henriette von Stockhausen, Gail Taylor and Georgina Cave are three designers with a wealth of experience designing interiors for other people. However, in this session, I will be delving into their own personal style as they reveal what they love about their own homes, their personal colour and style preferences and the challenges of designing for themselves
Mastering the Unconventional – on Wednesday 9th October at 1.00pm, Andrea Benedettini, Christian Bense and Helena Clunies-Ross will be sharing their experiences of transforming challenging spaces into functional and aesthetically pleasing environments
Decorex is at Olympia, London 6 to 9 October. For details of how to register click here
