It’s time to start getting excited about Decorex 2023. The show runs from 8 to 11 October at Olympia, London showcasing both emerging and established design brands plus innovative designer collaborations
I’m particularly looking forward to experiencing Lé Boudoir D’Corexxx, Brian Woulfe’s concept for the VIP area. Apparently VIP and press guests ‘can transcend their comfort zones and embrace the realm of sensuality with grace and finesse.’ Can’t wait!
Another designer collaboration sees Elemental Studio creating the Decorex Champagne bar. This tends to be the social hub of the show and Elemental’s founder, Laurence Katz, has embraced that concept. She says “Our design vision is the creation of an inspirational oasis for this year’s Decorex bar area. In addition to promoting artistic connections, with elements of nature and colour, we have focused on fostering a sense of community and interaction by incorporating communal tables. We believe that trade shows are not only about meeting with friends and colleagues, but also about establishing new connections.”
Meanwhile YesColours will transform the Decorex café with a focus on colourful yet sustainable design, featuring a kaleidoscope of colours and brand partners that will showcase the positive impact colour can have on residential, commercial and public spaces.
In addition Vinterior, the UK’s leading pre-owned furniture marketplace, will be creating this year’s entrance feature, with a display of vintage and antique pieces.
And finally, Suminagashi marbling studio, NAT MAKS was chosen to collaborate with Decorex to design the 2023 branding for the show. Working in the traditional Japanese style of marbling, NAT MAKS has created a beautiful and artful design with autumnal tones of deep oranges and complex greens.
