The Surface Design Awards 2023 are now open to entries

More than 180 projects from 24 countries entered the 2022 Awards reflecting the high level of interest in the event. The overall winner was the reconfiguration and expansion of BAFTA’s headquarters in London’s Piccadilly by Benedetti Architects.

It is free to enter and there are six categories to choose from, many with both interior or exterior sections. These include: Housing; commercial building; landscape and public realm; temporary structure.

Sustainability will again be a leading criteria for every entry and applicants must produce a statement and calculation for the carbon footprint of the cladding/materials used.

The awards ceremony will be on 9 February 2023 as part of the annual Surface Design Show, at London’s Business Design Centre.
