A wallcovering made from capiz shell, a sculptural barnacle table lamp and a glossy gold basin – these are the new product launches that caught my eye this week
Luster is the latest collection of innovative wallcoverings from Arte. Capiz shells, once used for windowpanes to filter light beautifully, play a starring role in four distinctive designs. Each tile is created through a detailed technique where threads are applied to the subsurface, followed by the printing of water-soaked capiz onto the pattern. Available in two subtle and two bold colour options, each design boasts a natural pearlescent sheen.
