This week’s product news

Magnetic wood, tiles inspired by ancient Anatolia and Lee Broom’s first portable light, these are the products that caught my eye this week

Schotten & Hansen introduce Ridgeline an innovative wooden, magnet-compatible surface (pictured above). Inspired by the ridgeline of the Alps between Bavaria and Italy, Ridgeline has a textured surface which draws on the raw beauty of split wood embracing natural irregularities. Designed for both magnetic and conventional installation, the wooden veneer surface can be used to enhance walls and furniture fronts

From Suzy Hoodless Studio the Pembridge table lamp and pendant light combine walnut and brass with hand made linen shades. The pieces are designed to bring warmth and texture to the home while celebrating natural materials and craftsmanship

And here’s a second lighting launch. Chant from Lee Broom is the designer’s first foray into portable lighting. The sculptural cube is available in either clear or frosted glass with the option of either a brushed bronze, brushed gold or brushed silver base

Otto encaustic tiles

From Otto Tiles, Patara Beige is one of three new encaustic designs within the Kismet Collection, designed by Damla Trugut The design takes its name from the Turkish word for fate or destiny. Central to the collection’s narrative is the art, architecture, and sacred symbolism of ancient Anatolia. In this Beige palette, the design balances softness and structure, pairing earthy neutral tones with bold, abstract forms inspired by feminine energy, spiritual balance and architectural harmony
