I’m sure you are familiar with Roger Oates Design’s rugs and runners, do you also know design studio A Rum Fellow? With such a wealth of weaving expertise between them, this collaboration can only be good.

Creative Director of Roger Oates Design, Andy Guard, met Caroline Lindsell and Dylan O’Shea of London-based design studio A Rum Fellow at an exhibition where a creative spark was ignited. The two companies have now collaborated to create Roger Oates’ boldest and brightest flatweave collection to date.

Andy says, “The diamond is at the heart of the collaboration. It was central to our first meetings, it challenged us to bring a whole new structure to Roger Oates flatweave and it has rightly become the symbol of this collection.”

The design journey began by exploring traditional embroidery and weaving techniques reimagined into modern design, celebrating eclectic colour and bold contrasting patterns from around the globe. The result is four distinctive designs, Morella, Kahlo, Mila and Arta that combine pleasing colours from coral to emerald.
