This week’s interior design news

Award winning wallpaper, Ethereal Silestone and Liberty shades from Pooky. Here are the interior design products that caught my eye this week.

Omexco won the Best Product Award at this year’s Decorex for its Tribu collection (shown above). This contemporary collection of woven wallcoverings honours ancestral weaving traditions from Asia to Africa.

Omexco is a Belgian brand with a showroom in Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour. The company says it always opts for materials with a non-harmful base and renewable materials such as cork or recycled sari silk.

Liberty Botanical Flora shade from Pooky

Pooky has teamed up with Liberty to launch a collection of lampshades.

After delving into the legendary Liberty print archive, four designs were chosen and are presented in various colourways.

Rohan Blacker, Pooky founder says, “We are thrilled to finally reveal our exciting new lampshades made using Liberty’s archival prints. Liberty is one of the iconic, quintessentially British brands we have admired for so long and our shared love of colour, delicate pattern and beautiful design made this collaboration come together wonderfully. We want these to pave the way for a print and pattern revolution, allowing interior enthusiasts from all over to integrate the celebrated Liberty prints into everyday lighting.”

Ethereal Noctis from Silestone

Ethereal is Silestone’s latest marble inspired surface material. There are four options, each with a white base and featuring different veining ranging from black to a honey gold.

Ethereal is manufactured using Silestone’s HybriQ+ technology which means that 99% of the water used in production is reused along with 100% renewable electric energy. Ethereal also incorporates a minimum of 20% recycled raw material in the composition.
