Colourful lights, embroidered furniture and gorgeous outdoor paints, these are the products that caught my eye this week
British furniture brand Roome London has collaborated with couture embroiderer Geraldine Larkin (who has created pieces for Alexander McQueen, YSL and Tom Ford) to present a range of embroidered couture furniture (shown above) in bronze, gold and platinum. Other threads, finishes, sizes and colours can be ordered bespoke. (Read my in-depth interview with Roome London here)
Luxury paint manufacturer Mylands has launched a new collection of 12 colours for outside and inside. The collection has been designed by British landscape gardener Jinny Blom. Inspired by nature, the collection was designed by Blom to enrich outdoor spaces with subtle colour. The paint will be available in Mylands’ signature finishes for all purposes, including its Plant-Based Multi-Surface finish.
This Spring, Curiousa is launching the Wave II Collection featuring a series of hanging and pendant diffused lights in sandblasted glass, enhanced with elements such as wood and silk tassels. The textures and soft mid-century colour palette are evocative of weathered glass found on the shoreline. Founder Esther Patterson says, “It’s important the pieces feel alive and tactile. Even though I’ve designed a certain uniformity – they needed to feel instinctive, sculptural, and free of constraint.” (meet designer Esther here)
And this week we have a second lighting launch. Heathfield & Co has collaborated with interior design writer Amy Moorea Wong to create the playful, limited edition Dusk table lamp. The collection features a hand-painted, matt ceramic base paired with a choice of five two-tone lampshades. Each shade features a contrasting colour inspired by the changing nature of dusk. Users can easily edit the colour on show by simply twisting the shade.
