Floral inspired rugs, a glass pool table and a psychedelic fabric. These are the products that caught my eye this week
Knots Rugs has collaborated with Charlotte Gaunt, at Rediscovered By, to create The English Garden, a delightful collection of rugs featuring snapdragons, sweet peas, cornflowers and delphiniums in chalked back shades.
Charlotte specialises in historical textile techniques including flocking and foiling taking inspiration from English country gardens. Five original artworks, created from flowers from the walled gardens of Keythorpe Hall, have been sensitively reinterpreted by Knots Rugs’ founder Bonnie Sutton (image shows the delicate Sweet Pea rug)
British textile design studio Yarn Collective is delighted to launch Trippy, a playful new triptych of fabrics from Sister by Studio Ashby.
Designed by Sophie Ashby and crafted by Yarn Collective, Trippy is a mid-weight linen with a soft handle that is suitable for upholstery, drapery and accessories. An inspired reimagining of a moiré, the signature rippling pattern of the decorative textile takes on a new and fresh contemporary edge with a wavy, almost psychedelic character.
I recently came across Milan based Impatia, the company re-invents classic gaming tables with bespoke, contemporary designs. The collection includes glass ping pong tables, shuffleboards and card tables. Shown here the Filotto pool table which can be customised with a choice of metal and cloth options.
And here’s another new rug collection, this time from Los Angeles based creative studio Woven. The Linea collection features simple designs, counterbalanced by a plush look and feel from wool and eucalyptus silk. There are three designs to choose from in neutral shades, shown here Tela in light grey
